Miriam Cohen, PhD

Dr. Cohen earned a PhD in Molecular Cell Biology from the Weizmann Institute of Science, Israel. She joined the Glycobiology Research and Training Center at the University of California San Diego as a postdoctoral fellow and later Assistant Project Scientist where she studied glycobiology and infectious diseases. Dr. Cohen is a creative medical writer and scientist with over 20 years of experience in creating training materials, analyzing complex scientific data, writing, reviewing and editing publications. By delivering scientifically sound compelling stories, while adhering to Good Publication Practices, legal and regulatory guidelines, I ensure swift development of publications and promotional education assets, resulting in high acceptance rate of publications to the primary target journal.
Dr. Cohen is passionate about promoting women and girls in science. She volunteers at the Association for Women in Science (AWIS), and leads a STEM-focused Girl Scout troop.
